THIS WEEKEND - SAT 1 OCTOBER

Hi all

Training is on, tomorrow at 5:30pm at Waverton pitches. From next Thursday we will switch the CHS 4G as winter is coming!

After the disappointment of the match cancellation last Saturday, albeit replaced by a good training session, we definitely will play our league match V Ellesmere Port this weekend.

To recap from last week…from now on we will train Thursday's and we will play a match on Saturdays with the squad rotating around stronger players until all players get used to the game. Some of the boys are not quite ready for matches but the challenge will be to get everyone involved in matches and hopefully on occasions we can persuade teams to play two games side by side as we have enough players for two squads.

Our squad is 14 so we shall take 8 of the squad for this match as follows. The players who are rested this weekend will get a chance over the coming weeks.

Isaac Franklin
Benjamin Loxton
Henry Stewart
Raphael De Cuna
Oliver Beverley
Guy St John Williams
Samuel Stewart
Thomas Gabriel

KO is 9am (so 8:30am arrival) AWAY at Whitby Sports and Social Club, Dunkirk Lane, Chester Road, Ellesmere Port, CH65 6QF. We will be on the far pitch no.1 with barriers around, over by the woods. Additional parking can be found past the social club on the right hand side if the car park is busy.

If anyone cannot play please let me know ASAP as we have boys rested who will be keen to play.

Best regards

Rob

WAVERTON U7s BEES - NEW SEASON 2016/17

Hello all

The first training session will take place this Thursday 8th September at 5:30pm at Waverton Pitches, Common Lane. We will move to Christleton High School astro pitches from Thursday 6th October.

On Saturday 10th September we will also train at 10:30am at Waverton Primary school pitches.

The idea for the first 4-6 weeks is to train both Thursday and Saturday’s as a Group to give us time to work on organisation and match practise before we arrange some friendly matches and then take our league fixtures. This is completely normal at U7s as we are a new squad.

We have 13 players in the Bees squad plus 4 or 5 new boys  - so 17 to 18 players. When we get into league matches, which are just 5-aside, it may be that we can form two sides rather than rotate playing time every week. This is dependent upon parent/coaching support but it would be preferable and give the boys more regular matches.

Could you please confirm attendance for both training sessions.

If you have any queries please let me know.

Regards
Rob
